Sushant Singh Rajput has received a special recognition from the California State Assembly for his “contribution to Bollywood cinema with special appreciation for all of his philanthropic community work as well as his efforts to promote India’s rich culture and heritage.”
The late actor’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti took to social media to share a photo of the certificate, and thanked California for the support. She wrote: “On the occasion of Indian Independence Day California recognizes my brother’s (Sushant) overall contribution to society. California is with us…. are you? Thanks for your support California.
Sushant Singh was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14, and Shweta has regularly been posting about her brother, demanding justice for the family.
On Thursday, she took to Twitter to request that the truth about her brother’s death come out as soon as possible.
Shweta tweeted, “It’s time we find the truth and get justice. Please help our family and the whole world to know what the truth is and find closure, otherwise we will never be able to live a peaceful life!!#CBIForSSR Raise your voice and demand #JusticeForSushantSinghRajput #WarriorsForSSR @sushantsinghrajput”.
The CBI has registered FIR against actress Rhea Chakraborty and the others after the Centre accepted Bihar government’s plea for CBI probe.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has interrogated Rhea and her brother Showik Chakraborty. The ED is probing a case of alleged money laundering based on the FIR lodged by Patna police based on Sushant’s father’s complaints.
