Indian external affairs secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla arrived in Dhaka on Tuesday.
Foreign secretary Masud Bin Momen received him at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport after he arrived in a special flight around 11:45am.
He would call on prime minister Sheikh Hasina, foreign minister AK Abdul Momen and state minister for foreign affairs M Shahriar Alam.
It is Shringla’s second visit as foreign secretary, which is taking place within the five months of his first visit in March.
Shringla was immediate past Indian high commissioner to Bangladesh.
