The decision came at a meeting of the organisation on Sunday, association President Md Helal Uddin told journalists.

“Country’s markets and shops will be closed on March 17 on the occasion of birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,” he said.

Organisation’s secretary general Jahirul Haque Bhuiyan and FBCCI directors Abdur Razzak, Abu Motaleb and Hafeez Harun were also present at the meeting.
